Investment and Trade Western Australia (WA) Commissioner to North East Asia, Mr Michael Sharp invites you to the WA First Nations Business Leaders Forum in the Australia Pavilion at World Expo Osaka (Expo) on Wednesday 6 August 2025.
Join us for a showcase of the State’s First Nations entrepreneurs, and business leaders across the technology, fashion, aboriginal tourism, education and energy transition sectors—including 2024 National NAIDOC Elder of the Year, 2024 Western Australian of the Year (Aboriginal Award Category), and a 2025 Australian of the Year nominee, Mr Kim Collard.
Mr Kim Collard is a proud Noongar Elder with ancestral ties to the Whadjuk and Ballardong clans of the Noongar Nation. A fluent speaker of the Ballardong dialect, Kim is deeply respected across Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities for his leadership, cultural authority, and vision. Mr Collard will be speaking and hosting a yarning circle.

Expo site entry tickets
The Australia Pavilion offers our event guests VIP tickets to enter the Expo site on the day of the event. Please note these tickets must be printed out and handed to ticket gate staff on arrival at the VIP lane. This is a policy of the Osaka Expo Association, and you may be denied entry if you cannot provide them with a hard copy of the VIP ticket.
If you requested an Expo site entry ticket when you submitted your RSVP form, please note that it will only allow one entry into Expo on the day of your event between the hours of 9:00am – 9:00pm. the day of your event between the hours of 9:00am – 9:00pm.
The Australia Pavilion reception team will send you your VIP ticket by email prior to the event, along with a map to the Australia Pavilion.
Luggage
Baggage screening will take place for all visitors entering the Expo site. The maximum size bag that can be taken into the site is W600mm x D900mm x H400mm. Suitcases or carry-on cases with wheels are not allowed to be brought into the Expo site, regardless of size.
There are only a very limited number of large-sized bags able to be stored at the baggage storage areas outside the East and West gates of Expo due to space restrictions. We highly recommend you leave any suitcases at your hotel or place them in a locker at a nearby train or subway station. The Expo Association has also set up temporary baggage storage facilities and a baggage delivery service within Japan at Bentencho and Sakurajima stations.
Entering the expo site
East gate:
The walking time from the East Gate to the Australia Pavilion is approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
West gate:
The walking time from the West Gate to the Australia Pavilion is approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Upon entry into the Australia Pavilion Special Events Zone reception, please present your RSVP confirmation email. Our reception team will check you in, provide you with a name badge and cloak any items you may wish to store.
If you are no longer able to attend
If you need to cancel your attendance for any event held at the Australia Pavilion, please email the Australia Pavilion at: specialeventszone@expo2025.com.au
This will allow us to offer your VIP entry ticket to another guest.
