The SRJC is a Queensland Government‑funded, locally led workforce coordination body, bringing together industry, government, and education providers to address skills shortages, boost workforce participation, and support business growth through practical, place‑based workforce solutions.
Driven “by locals, for locals,” the committee leads workforce intelligence and delivers initiatives such as:
- Developing local skilling and training solutions
- Improving links between employers, training providers, and jobseekers
- Identifying employment trends and opportunities to support business growth
