About the Event
Business Backstage is all about taking you behind the scenes of the local organisations and businesses that help shape our region. These events give our members and the broader business community the opportunity to hear directly from those on the ground, gain insight into complex operations, and better understand how different industries contribute to local jobs, supply chains and long-term regional outcomes.

Join us at HQ Plantations, Beerburrum, as the team shares an inside look at large-scale plantation forestry and what it means to manage land that supports industry, employment, sustainability and community use.
HQ Plantations manages significant plantation assets across South East Queensland, including the Glasshouse Country area. During this Business Backstage, we’ll explore how plantation forestry operates over long timeframes, how decisions made today shape outcomes decades into the future, and how this industry supports local contractors, manufacturers and regional economies.
We’ll also discuss the balance between commercial operations, environmental stewardship and community expectations, particularly in a region experiencing population growth, increased recreational use and changing land-use pressures.
As with all Business Backstage events, there will be time for questions, discussion and connection, offering attendees a clearer understanding of an industry that quietly plays a vital role in our local and regional story.
