About the Event
Business Backstage is all about taking you behind the scenes of the local businesses that help shape Glasshouse Country. These events give our members and wider business community the opportunity to step inside real workplaces, hear directly from business owners, and gain insight into the realities of running, growing and evolving a local business. It’s also a chance to connect with fellow business owners in a relaxed, welcoming setting over conversation and refreshments.

Join us on Thursday, 19 March from 5:00 pm, at Mooloolah Mitre 10, 4 Bray Road, Mooloolah Valley, as owners Isaac and Nick share their journey since taking over the business in late 2024 and breathing new life into this well-known local store.
Since stepping in, Isaac and Nick have focused on revitalising the business with a strong emphasis on community, accessibility and expanded product offerings.
During this Business Backstage, we’ll explore what it takes to successfully take over an established retail business, invest in growth, and respond to the changing needs of a regional community. Topics will include retail operations, customer experience, local employment, and the importance of creating spaces that serve both practical needs and community connection.
Attendees will also hear about the store’s expanded ranges, upgraded Garden Centre and Pool Room, improved access and parking, and how services like Click & Collect and local delivery are helping the business meet customers where they are.
As always, there will be time for questions, discussion and connection, offering valuable insight for anyone navigating retail, service-based business, or community-focused growth.
The event is free, but places are limited. Bookings are essential.
