About the Event
Christmas in Cooroy is coming back to bring joy to the community on Friday, December 13, 2024. This yearly event promises to entertain with some of the old favourites making a comeback including the public Lighting of the Tree and a race of a very different kind. Keep your eye out for the details.
Of course, the big man himself will be making an appearance giving the kids (big and small) the opportunity to let Santa know what you would like for Christmas (but you have to promise to be good). The photo booth will be on hand to capture the special moment.
Food stalls and shopping will be aplenty with many of the stores staying open throughout the evening.

Light up the community and see the joy on so many face as they admire your creativity and dedication. Not only do you receive the satisfaction of seeing your amazing light display being enjoyed, you also have the chance at winning a prize.
The pressure may be on to have the best looking Christmas display in your shop window. A chance for some friendly rivalry with your fellow business buddy’s while at the same time bringing some Christmas joy to the shopping precinct. Not only do you receive the satisfaction while creating your display masterpiece and having it enjoyed by your customers and the community, but there are also prizes up for grabs.
Get your bike decorated and show it off in all of it’s glory at Christmas in Cooroy. This competition is split into 2 categories and is open to children ages 2 – 5 yrs and 6 – 13 yrs. The theme is open to let your imagination shine through. It's all in the name, don your Santa suit ready for a 5.50pm race, registration from 5.30pm.
Bringing back the Float Parade in 2025, the theme is "Country Christmas".
Can you spot all the themed possums in the shop windows? Spot the most and you just might win a prize!

Get your pets involved in the festive fun of Christmas in Cooroy by decking them out in their best Christmas outfits! - Please note you will be walking your pets in the main Float Parade so please make sure your pet is safe and crowd-friendly. - Pets will be judged on their overall presentation and Christmas spirit.
