About the Event

There’s more support available for businesses than many realise - if you know where to look and how to access it.

This Business Leaders Lunch is all about understanding the grants, incentives and funding opportunities that exist for Australian businesses across a range of sectors and stages. From government support to innovation funding and export assistance, you’ll hear what’s available, what’s changing, and how to position your business to take advantage of it.

Delivered by professionals who work in the grants and funding space every day, this session will help you cut through the red tape and find opportunities that align with your goals - whether you’re just starting out, scaling up, or exploring new markets.

What to expect:

An overview of the most relevant business grants and incentives

Tips for identifying what your business may be eligible for

Guidance on applying and increasing your chances of success

Opportunities to ask questions and connect with experts

Networking with other business leaders over a two-course lunch

Speaker Topics and Overviews:

Unlocking grants & support: how to research and find opportunities

Speaker: Wayne Wanders, Business Connect

Most businesses miss out on grants and support programs simply don’t know where to look. In this short, sharp session, Wayne will show you ways to uncover suitable grants and support programs that can unlock serious growth.

Inside Service NSW: the programs and support you should be using

Speaker: Bradley Young, Service NSW

The NSW Government offers a range of services designed to help your business grow, but many go unnoticed.  In this session you will discover the range of programs and resources available to you.

How local suppliers can land major project work

Speaker: Raquel Bloom, Industry Capability Network

Big projects are no longer just for big companies. Raquel will show how the Industry Capability Network connects local businesses with major buyers across NSW and Australia. You’ll learn how to position your business to be discovered, win work on significant projects, and join the supply chains driving growth across the country.

Think bigger: how NFP collaborations unlock new grant funding

Speaker: Kerrie Sheaves, NFP Ocean

For-profit businesses are increasingly looking for ways to align with social impact. Meanwhile, not-for-profits are seeking strategic partners to deliver community outcomes - often backed by grant funding.

Discover how for-profit businesses are partnering with aligned NFPs to access funding, deliver community outcomes and grow all while making a difference.

Grants that scale: using funding to drive growth and innovation

Speaker: Bob Croft, EZ Marketing

Grants like the Industry Growth Program and Accelerating Commercialisation are opening doors for Australian businesses that want to grow, innovate and scale. In this eye-opening session, Bob will break down how these grants work, what they can fund, and how to know if you qualify. Most business owners underestimate what’s available. This session will show you how to tap into funding that fuels real results.
